Hey there,

I love it, a farmer has decided to use a smart form of marketing to help save their sheep! I first heard about it on the news so went to their website to learn more. And it is all so easy – you simply adopt a sheep for $35 for 100 days to provide hand feed through the hot dry summer until the rains have a chance to come back.

We all talk about how tough it is for our farmers and feel rather useless for doing anything to help so this is a great way to do something useful and productive – yes, us city people are being given the chance to help so that’s great in itself.

My mum is a spinner, weaver and knitter so I can’t not adopt a sheep of the Kiely family of Uamby. So click here to check out their Adopt a Sheep blog! I’ll give mum the adoption certificate for Christmas so all I have to do is figure out a name for the wool creature!
